In all, over 600 pages of secret NYPD intelligence files were released recently as part of a lawsuit brought by the New York Civil Liberties Union on behalf of hundreds of arrested demonstrators.
It’s a slippery slope to a totalitarian police state when you justify spying on your own citizens on national security grounds for holding a concert or expressing their opinion. Or did they really expect Alicia Keys to start tossin’ Molotovs?
